Take in colors from above: Camden Snow Bowl to hold Fall Chairlift Rides

The Snow Bowl’s annual Fall Chairlift Rides return on Sundays in October, offering scenic rides to the summit of Ragged Mountain and sweeping views of Camden Harbor, Penobscot Bay and the surrounding fall landscape.
The Triple Chair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 11, 18 and 25. Tickets are $15 per person. Children under age five ride free (must be 3 feet tall to participate). Tickets can be purchased onsite upon arrival at the ticket windows.
The approximately 25-minute ride to the summit provides time to take in the changing landscape and enjoy one of Camden’s most unique fall traditions. Riders may choose to hike down from the summit or reload the chairlift for the ride back to the base.
Located just minutes from downtown Camden, the town-owned Camden Snow Bowl is one of Maine’s most distinctive outdoor recreation destinations and the only ski area on the East Coast with ocean views. The mountain offers nearly 1,000 feet of vertical elevation and spectacular views toward the coast.
Visitors enjoying the Fall Chairlift Rides can also stop by the Ski Patrol Pizza Oven in the base area, which will be serving breakfast and lunch during the event.

For safety, children must be at least three feet tall to ride, and riders must be able to independently get off the lift at the summit and walk down the steps (no option to . Appropriate walking or hiking footwear is required, and guests should dress for the weather. No pets are permitted on the lifts.
